Search Engine Optimization Analysis Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Campaign Management

Pay Per Click is an effective way to appear in the search results in Google, MSN Search, and Yahoo! AllPCOnline offers PPC management as a stand-alone service or as part of a larger search engine marketing campaign. Below is an outline of the different PPC services we manage for clients.

Our PPC Analysis Form can help us understand your unique advertising needs as well as provide you with a strategy, costs and expectations from PPC services.

Adwords

Google's PPC system allows great control on the part of the advertiser in terms of the timing, locality and positioning of the sponsored ad. In addition Adwords offers the option to advertise on specific sites that are part of the Adsense network.

It used to be that PPC would be as simple as bidding against other advertisers to be in a certain spot when someone searches in Google for any given keyword. Because of obvious abuse by some advertisers, Google has changed the way sponsored links are ranked. The abuse occurs when the advertiser bids for keywords that are not related to the web site's content. This creates a negative user experience and diminishes the effectiveness and trustworthiness of sponsored links.

To prevent this unwanted result, Google has introduced a new ranking formula, which is: Ad Rank = CPC (Cost Per Click) X Quality Score. While the CPC is pretty self explanatory, the quality score is due to many factors. Among the most important, the click-through rate, relevancy of the ad related to the target, historical keyword performance and the click rate. Google still uses the CPC formula for the search results above the organic results.

There are many ways and techniques to maximize ROI with PPC. A strong call to action, the creation of different ad groups, keyword matching options are among some of the items to be taken into consideration. PPC can be extremely expensive and ineffective if not done properly. On the other hand, PPC optimized for the right target audience and without costly errors can help web sites to reach their audiences.

Yahoo! Search Marketing

The Yahoo! new PPC system used to be called Overture. While Google lets advertisers choose their listings, the advertiser in YSM has to submit a listing for approval. It is possible to optimize YSM ads, although it is different compared to Adwords. Human beings, not computers, review new listings. Ads that are not pertinent to the landing page will likely be denied.

YSM offers different service plans. New users receive a Gold status, which will be reviewed for a possible upgrade in 90 days. Just like Adwords, YSM has a click fraud system in place, which should detect invalid clicks from competitors and other sources. There is still an ongoing risk of fraud, which is undetectable by any PPC system. If, for example, a network of people decides to target an advertiser from different computers and IP addresses, it is impossible to detect the fraud.

Microsoft adCenter

The adCenter advertiser, who will have the listings displayed on the Live.com network, first creates a campaign. Within the campaign, order names are structured and inside the orders the ads and keywords are structured.

adCenter uses a crawler to determine ad relevancy to the landing page. The system offers exclusive targeting, budget control and reporting.
